JUNE ROCK 101 CAMP (AGES 7-12) See All Times
June 16, 2025 - June 20, 2025
We're getting excited for our Rock 101 Summer Camp, so we wanted to share some information that will help you come prepared!
The Rock 101 Camp is Monday-Friday from 9am to 3pm. Students should plan to arrive no earlier than 8:45. Students should be picked up no later than 3:15pm. Please let us know if you have any scheduling issues and we'll work to accommodate you.
The School of Rock is located at 1552 Mill Dam Road in Virginia Beach. We are near the corner of Mill Dam and Great Neck.
Each student should arrive with a full water bottle which can be refilled at our water fountain, a packed lunch, and snacks. We have a refrigerator on site to keep items cold.
This camp is for beginners, but we do require each camper to come in for a FREE trial lesson / assessment prior to the start of camp. This allows our camp directors to plan the songs assignments and daily schedule based on the ages and abilities of the various students. Guitar and bass players should bring their instrument plus a strap. If you need a loaner guitar, we have plenty to go around! These instruments will not be able to go home with the student. Now to the fun stuff!
Over the course of the five days, your student will get a great introduction to a variety of rock and roll music. Each morning they will be assigned and taught 1-2 new songs. In a small group setting, they will work with School of Rock pros to learn their parts. In the afternoon, the group will come together in a full band format to rehearse the songs. They will also have a blast playing games, doing arts and crafts, and being fun little rockers! The music selected will be Rock 101 - approved... meaning this will be simple music for new rockers.
On Friday, the students will perform the songs for their families! We invite you to join us at the School of Rock at 2PM to hear them perform!
If you have any questions about your camp, please feel free to email us or call 227-5797 to speak with us.
