Get Ready for Camp!

We're getting excited for our 21st Century Modern Rock camp next week, so we wanted to share some information that will help you come prepared!

The camp is Monday-Friday from 9am to 3pm. Students should plan to arrive no earlier than 8:45. Students should be picked up no later than 3:15pm, unless otherwise communicated with SoR staff.

Each student should arrive with a full water bottle which can be refilled at our water fountain and a packed lunch. If you would prefer to send your student with lunch money, you can sign an off-premises waiver to allow them to walk to a nearby location for food. We will make sure students don't walk alone to lunch. We have a refrigerator on site to keep items cold.

Guitar and bass players should bring their instrument plus a strap. Drummers should bring sticks. Students should bring a folder, binder, or backpack for resource material. Now to the fun stuff!

Over the course of the five days, your student will get a great introduction to 21st century modern rock music. In a small group setting, they will work with School of Rock pros to learn their parts. Also each day, groups will come together in a full band format to rehearse the songs. They will also have a blast playing games, doing arts and crafts, and being fun little rockers! Students with more musical experience will be given more challenging assignments, and new-comers will be taught simple patterns that will keep them excited about music.

On Friday, the students will perform the songs for their families! We will do the show in our building.
